DESCRIPTION
Jed is rather plain looking between unruly short dark hair and fair skin, though his ice blue eyes make up for his otherwise dull appearance. Jed stands at 5’6” and he has a slender build. A past injury in his left leg causes him to limp heavily. He has a scar that traces horizontally across the breadth of his chest. He dresses comfortably and he has a fondness for dumb sweaters. Regretfully, everything he owns reeks of cigarette smoke.

PERSONALITY
Quiet and distrusting, Jed doesn’t make friends in a hurry, if at all. He does do his job well, however, and as long as you sit down, shut up, and hold still, he’ll treat your ails. Though he’s accustomed to people coming and going, he does appreciate the scarcely offered ‘thank you’ for his services, though he may not show it. Throughout his life, people have always slipped in and out of his life so quickly and so he’s become a bit cynical of establishing lasting relationships.

Petty conversation is quick to annoy him, though there are those who he finds honestly interesting and he won’t mind having a quiet conversation with. Regardless of whom he’s dealing with, his words and opinions are often bitingly honest though not always with malicious intent. Due to his non-aggressive powers and crippled leg, he doesn’t get out much and spends most of his free time reading or learning new games.

BACKSTORY
Jed spent a good part of his life drifting to wherever his feet managed to take him. He first managed life by taking up odd jobs, but upon discovering that he had unique abilities, he started to use them for his financial benefit. Though his services were often appreciated, no one wanted the unnatural person around for long and his welcome was quickly worn out wherever he went.

He had one very unpleasant experience where he was threatened violently and though he tried to leave peacefully, he was shot in the leg. Despite medical treatment, the wound didn’t heal right and left him with a life-long limp along with a crippling fear of blood.

Travel was a hassle from that point on but he had heard information about Hazardous Corp and the unnatural people that lived there. Intrigued and with nothing else to lose, he decided to go to Hazard. Once there, it was confirmed that his abilities were due to his relation to the element Platinum. Now he works treating cancer and being a walking pain reliever.


WEAPON
Cane-sword
A rapier is concealed in Jed’s walking cane. He’s skilled in fencing, but when faced with a gun, it’s not much use. Luckily, due to his occupation and limited mobility, he’s rarely in a situation where he’s in danger of getting attacked.

POWERS
Jed is capable of slowing and treating the effects of cancer purely through touch _{compounds containing Pt are applied in chemotherapy against certain types of cancer}
His touch has a soothing property that is capable of relieving physical irritants, aches, and pains. (though completely unrelated to his powers, this soothing can also cause a mental relaxation as well) _{Pt is very hypoallergenic and has minimal possibility of causing an allergic reaction}

MISCELLANEOUS
Biologically, Jed is entirely female; though since he had a mastectomy when he was 20, his chest is entirely flat and it helps him get away with his lie.
He goes to great lengths to keep his sex a secret. Do not blab about it if you happen to figure it out.
He is almost constantly accompanied by a House Crow that is named Abraham.
Favorite play is Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead and he often carries a copy with him
Voice is rough and raspy due to years of smoking cigarettes.
Jed cannot fire a gun to save his life which is fine with him considering that blood makes him queasy.
A hemophobe, blood and gore will cause him to faint.
